Restaurants with poor cleaning staff.

A dirty table here, gross bathroom there. When I go out to a place that sells food I would expect a sanitary environment. Some food places just miss the simple things that could improve at least my experiences of the restaurant. Things in plain sight that are not dealt with I feel are unacceptable.

I have not said anything to employees of unclean establishments on their workplace's cleanliness because I haven't seen many of the issues until I took the food handlers course, so I didn't know there was anything to report. After taking the course, I haven't really addressed any problems I see because it is awkward to tell employees there, or their co-workers, mistakes and I usually go with family so I don't want to ruin  their night

A few times I have seen an employee sitting next to a window and looking at the view, but that same window has a thick layer of dust on it's ledge.  The worker sits there for his whole break , gets up, walks away, and the employee, or another employee he could have told do not come and clean the dust up.

I think sometimes that some employees don't strive to be good workers or improve their workplace. They get paid and they do their job description, nothing more. A good employee should not have the attitude that something is "Not my problem." or "Not my job". If there is a problem, It is the responsibility of any worker who finds the problem to deal  with it or to bring it to the attention of someone who can.

A probable cause of workers not striving to do good is lack of effort on the part of the staff.  A way to probably solve this is better questions during job interview stage and/or an increased rate of inspections with managers making sure inspectors feedback is considered and at least some of it implemented. I think another reason some restaurants are unclean is that the places policies are poorly made or  not enforced. An owner or manager should make sure their policies are  working properly or even being enforced. If their policies goals aren't being achieved they need to step in and solve the problem.

This Aint No Slow n' Stop....

When I arrive at school or head off to the mall, people walk extra slow and by doing so they get people irritated following them. It is totally understandable for the elders at a mall, but energetic teens like us? Come on now. It just really, really bugs me to the max when people do this.

I came to school one day and I needed to go to my locker before i was held up for class. As if was walking down through the link area of my school, a group of people were walking in front of me about 10m down the hall from where I was. (They're most likely friends with each other) They started walking as I followed behind them. And as I was walking, they decided to just stop out of nowhere and start talking or gossiping about something towards each other and they started walking again but even slower. Like honestly, it's not necessary for just stopping in a crowded hallway and walking slow at the same time. Common sense, you're in a hallway and there are others to think about behind you.

Usually this happens about once or twice daily for me. I just smirk it off and just walk my normal(fast) walking speed. If they're still walking slow, I say excuse me politely and go on with my day. Hopefully they'll keep that in mind for the future so they don't get people aggravated. If it happens more than twice I do get in a very pissy mood and purposely say "can you move out of the way please?" Sometimes they won't pay attention cause of all the noise in the crowded halls and I lightly shove them to the side so they also don't piss off other people behind them.

It's not that they don't care for others behind them. They probably just get carried away talking with their friends and it's not a bad thing. But just please keep in mind their are other people right behind you. How do people not realise that their are others behind you? Gets me thinking. It's just like when an emergency vehichle is trying to get through for an accident of some sort and the cars infront don't move tpye of thing. If you don't get out of the way, PLEASE get out of the way or step off to the side of the hallway, not the middle where you could get trampled on by angry students trying to get to class.
