Being inconsiderate is what blocking places you aren't supposed to be blocking is. I'm sure there are other places you can go lounge upon other than the stairs or hallways which is in direct contact to an overflow of students in transit. It just brings up the question "Why?". Can they not see that people are already having a hard time getting through without them adding to the squished population? The hallway's width could only take so much people.
As usual, I'm on my way to my next class, walking, walking, and as I reach the stairs, there they are. They are occupying half of the thing's length and people have access to only one side of the rails. What is even more infuriating is that they don't even bother to make some space for passing people. I mean, I don't have a problem with it if there was no one there like the lunch hour for example. Because of the increasing number of the Maple's community, like a wildlife savannah, land is becoming scarce in which people can spend time. So the only other option are the stairs and hallways which is perfectly okay since not much people go through there at that time.
Who wouldn't want to tell them to move to another place? At least until the transitional minutes are over. Sadly though, that is not the case. We're all trying to avoid that type of confrontation where you could proably get involved in an even messier argument. So in honor of that and permanent records, we stay out of it.
I'd like to know what goes on in their minds, and I'd like to particularly toggle the part in their brain where they register their surroundings and the people scurrying about them. I really cannot fathom why, but I'd like to, of course. If only mind control was an option. Or at least let them read eye contact. But no, eye contact is scary business.
It is something I'd like to learn, the art of perceiving people's behaviour. I'd also like to know what makes them think that way. I think one factor though might be ignorance. Do they choose to ignore what goes on? Or are they just really blindly going about in their daily routines? I will never be sure.
I'm quite certain that you can never remove this kind of things at school unless there was a special enforcement from the Canadian government... but that will probably be ignored anyway too. And frankly to say, confronting those people head on is quite scary for me.
People can only hope that these blockades would go down sometime. It's not necessary to be rude when telling them, but eventually someone will have to. I'm just glad they don't clap when you walk by. That's a different, more complaint-worthy, issue altogether.
i agree with you! they think because they're big they could boss us around and do whatever they want. wheres the respect bro?
ReplyDeleteI agree !! Especially when you're trying to use the stairs and there are students who will just stand there without a care. They wouldn't move unless a teacher or a student asks them to.
ReplyDeleteI agree, people should hangout somewhere else instead of hallways and stairs. It irks me alot.
ReplyDeletei agree. stairs and hallways is not the right place to hangout.
