My friend and I were walking in the hallway one day last year when suddenly a guy out of nowhere stops. The hallway was so crowded; there wasn't enough space for the people who just going to hang out. He just kept on talking to his friend and another guy comes and said "Hey dude! Would you mind moving because you're blocking the way?" The guy who stopped at the hallway says "Oops! Yes, I wouldn’t mind, sorry." However, he didn't do anything and the guy keeps on talking until another guy said "Hey, don't stop in the middle of the hallway! Come on. Dude, MOVE!" He then replies "Fine! Dude, calm down" and smiles. Finally, the guy moved already; the hallway is still crowded because of many people who's hanging out. The guy was mad because he was going to be late for his next class. I’m still annoyed about that even now because it caused traffic.
People block the hallway because sometimes their friends will suddenly call them to ask a question or something. This is one of the reasons why students arrive late to class. I'm not the only one who's aware of this problem; other students are too.
I've never encountered a situation like this, but if it were to happen to me, I will tell that person directly to not block the hallway' move to an open area, and hang out somewhere else instead.
To avoid this kind of situation, the school should expand the hallways so that more students can occupy the space. We can accomplish this plan, if every student of maples that will going to hang out is going to moved into another place where is big and comfortable instead of tiny hallways which is hot and uncomfortable.

i totally agree with you. i get pissed when people blocked my way beacause they are talking to someone and just ignored me.
ReplyDeleteThe school should build a new commons area like Garden City did to add more space to ha ng around.
ReplyDeleteYeah I agree with your solution. And poeple shouldn't be such jerks about being asked to move. They asked you to move for a reason, not to just irritate you.
ReplyDeletetotally agree with you. Space is becoming a big issue and as mentioned before we should have a sperate area to hang out in
ReplyDeletei agree with you, i find it even more annoying when they decide to stop right in front of the door.
